Release — 20 September 2026

This release makes logbook imports easier to understand and safer to review, from photo checks and live reading progress through page setup, totals reconciliation, and endorsement records. It also adds a new Flight Canvas home and streamlines assistant chat across the app.

New11
  • Import photos are checked before upload, with warnings, retake guidance, and scan allowance information shown before OCR work begins
  • Logbook pages now show live reading progress and clear failure reasons, with recovery actions such as retake, rescan, or retry
  • Pages can be recognised as non-flight records, including checks, reviews, type ratings, and training records, so they can be reviewed and added to the pilot's records instead of appearing as empty flight pages
  • Checks, reviews, and type-rating pages can be committed as pilot records with supporting page evidence, audit history, and undo protection
  • The CAANZ Excel Pilot Logbook format is recognised automatically, reducing the need to map spreadsheet columns by hand
  • Import review now includes page setup, paper-order numbering, editable flight details, split and merge tools, totals reconciliation, and a checklist of lines that need attention
  • OCR imports can be undone when their flights have not been changed or linked elsewhere, with the affected records and approvals restored safely
  • OCR scan usage is charged once per page, with transparent refunds for failures that did not consume a scan and the allowance shown where scanning happens
  • The import review can flag questionable repeated dates, line-hour mismatches, page-year discrepancies, totals differences, and uncertain photo highlights for confirmation
  • Pages view and import progress now update through a live stream when available, while retaining polling fallback for interrupted connections
  • Flight Canvas now has a home showing existing boards, their activity, and node counts; asking a question from Home creates or opens a board with that question as its first turn
Improvements2
  • Assistant conversations now share one transcript presentation across Home, the dock, and Flight Canvas, including sources, activity, approvals, failures, and jump-to-latest behaviour
  • Assistant controls are available in a bottom rail, with chat history for open conversations and voice input in the chat panel
Fixes7
  • Typing pilot and crew names no longer loses all but the last character, and editing flight hours keeps the line total in sync
  • Imported flight details now preserve take-off counts and separate actual, simulated, and ground instrument time when saved
  • Registration lookup is scoped to the selected pilot's book and workspace, and a failed lookup now gives a stable message without preventing a typed registration from being used
  • Imported endorsements and records are protected from duplicate commits, stale decisions, archived-page commits, and concurrent page changes
  • Totals and review counts now agree across the action bar, filters, queue, and details panel, including footer-only mismatches
  • OCR disagreements are surfaced for review instead of allowing a confident-looking conflicting value to pass automatically
  • Board creation and workspace switching no longer leave a previous board displayed or selected after a failed create
