1.1.0
v1.1.0
This release brings a major refresh to club operations and the assistant. Clubs can manage member records, finances, qualifications, flights, bookings, notes, rules and on-the-day authorisations in one profile, while pilots get richer flight-document imports, editable endorsement reviews, saved assistant prompts and bring-your-own AI keys. It also adds the Founding Member programme, clearer billing and onboarding, and fixes several OCR, logbook and permissions issues.
New7
- Club member profiles now bring together an overview, qualifications, documents, flights, bookings, account statements, notes and activity, with access controlled by each staff member’s capabilities
- Clubs can define rules that add warnings, approvals or authorisation requirements to bookings and sign-out, with an on-the-day authorisation workflow and support for club check flights
- Pilots and club staff can import flight document photos through the assistant, review matched draft flights and add them to the logbook
- The assistant now supports saved prompts and a slash menu in chat and the Home ask bar
- Pilots can use their own OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini key, while workspace administrators can provide a key for their workspace; keys are encrypted and only their last four characters are shown
- The Founding Member programme now includes Getting Started progress, membership numbers, referrals, early-access benefits, feedback prompts and live places remaining on sign-up
- New pilots with a recent Pro trial receive a welcome explaining the trial and opening the Getting Started checklist
Improvements7
- Assistant usage is now available to workspace members through monthly turn and side-call allowances, while BYOK usage is excluded from those allowances
- Assistant access is shown wherever a usable provider key is available, and free workspaces are directed to chat instead of premium Flight Canvas features
- Endorsement imports now let pilots edit the recognised type, wording, signer, date and other fields before the record is issued, including an Other type for endorsements outside the catalogue
- Club member statuses now show clearer states such as trial, expiring, expired and archived, with member-type expiry settings taken into account
- Founding Members qualify for the founding subscription price on their first eligible subscription, and that price remains tied to the subscription on which it was earned
- Pricing now sits inside the normal workspace shell and explains checkout errors, cancellations and the wait for Stripe confirmation more clearly
- The Help menu now includes Pilot Lab news and changelog releases, with an unread indicator for new updates
Fixes6
- Club member document links now open securely instead of leading to broken or unsigned object-storage URLs
- Club member filters for statements, bookings, flights and activity now reach the server correctly, so the selected period and scope are applied
- Imported logbook entries can be completed without requesting an edit reason for fields that were previously blank, and flight traces are only imported after the edit saves
- OCR processing now handles empty model responses as service failures, provides clearer failure information for administrators and avoids unnecessary retries
- Assistant tool turns on GPT-5 models and assistant side calls now work with the correct model parameters and usage limits
- Aircraft classification and engine information are now applied more reliably to imported and existing logbook entries
