Founding Member Feedback Fixes
Thanks for all the feedback from everyone, we have been busy addressing all of it as it comes in. We will continue to make changes and improvements, so make sure to each out to support@pilotlab.app or go to https://community.pilotlab.app/c/site-feedback/2 and make a report.
This release makes imported logbooks more accurate and easier to review, with better support for command practice, international aircraft, and common CSV formats. It also improves offline logbook use, scan-import reliability, checkout sheets, and recovery from production or deployment errors.
New9
- Command practice is now kept separate from PIC time under the New Zealand ruleset, including in LogTen corrections, opening balances, charts, CSV exports, and CAA 1373 reports
- FLYLOG.io CSV exports can be imported with roles, simulator sessions, custom fields, and supported block and airborne timestamps retained
- Australian aircraft registrations can now be matched during import, including aircraft entered with or without the registration hyphen
- Import review can capture an aircraft's engine class and use it to complete aircraft classification
- CSV import can map columns to workspace custom number fields and show values from the source file during mapping
- Workspace number custom fields can now be selected as measures in logbook insights
- Club check-out sheets now support aircraft meter readings, equipment, defects, ATIS, fuel details, and a landscape layout suitable for printing
- Help → Contact Us now lets you send a message to support from inside the app with the relevant page and workspace details attached
- The web logbook now keeps a local encrypted copy in sync, applies draft edits immediately, and queues changes while offline
Improvements6
- The first logbook screen loads with less competition from background requests, and web scripts and styles are compressed for faster downloads
- When an imported flight's role is changed, its hours now follow the selected role instead of staying in the source columns
- Flights are now timed using the aerodrome's actual location, including foreign aerodromes, so day and night totals are more accurate worldwide
- Sign-up no longer waits for non-essential account setup work before continuing
- Flight search now clearly refuses dates outside the provider's available history instead of returning a generic server error
- Checkout falls back to hosted Stripe Checkout when embedded checkout is unavailable
Fixes12
- Import review now accepts day-first dates and preserves dates written across a page, including when a date applies to following lines
- Import review asks to match a page's columns only once instead of repeating the same step after every re-read
- Scan imports no longer remain stuck uploading, queued, or scanning after a failed reload, and completed pages are not incorrectly reprocessed
- Scan uploads use bounded memory, reducing failed or dropped requests during large uploads
- Changing or editing a flight in a club workspace no longer changes its role based on who happened to edit it
- A simulator session retains the name of the device it was flown on
- FLYLOG custom duration columns are no longer mistaken for enormous low-flying totals, and repeated CSV headers are preserved correctly
- The import book can validate draft lines without changing data during a read, while audit events now record line-level discard and validation updates
- A tab left open across a deployment reloads once to obtain the new web assets instead of showing an import error or entering a reload loop
- Maintenance, account, and API support links now use Pilot Lab's support address
- Production monitoring now covers API saturation, database connections, worker kills, and handled server errors so failures are more likely to be detected
- support@pilotlab.app now works correctly for reporting!
